Sculpture Gallery
Although I do portrait and figurative sculpture, most of my sculpture is made from found objects. I love the flotsam and jetsam of life, and over the years have kept a keen eye out for objects, both natural and man-made, that become a catalyst for new work. For instance, the Dreamsicles are composed of glass “icicles” that were chemistry lab tubes, that I hand painted and beaded and hung from wine barrel hoops.
Many people have contributed to this, by bringing me objects and leaving them at my door. My favorite gift was a piece of rusty green car metal, salvaged from a beach in Venezuela, that was the centerpiece for my work California’s Last Drop.
